NICK HOWARD (UK)

Nick Howard is a singer/songwriter from the UK and recently won season 2 of 'The Voice of Germany'. He is currently on the road promoting his new album Stay Who You Are and will play a special show on May 5th in Vienna at B72 as part of the Up Close & Acoustic leg of his current European Tour.
He moved from Brighton, England to New York in 2005 to pursue his music career and spent 5 years working various 9-5 jobs and well as working as a waiter at night to support his dream all while writing, recording and performing shows whenever possible. Having his songs used in TV shows such as Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, the Hills, Jersey Shore and 90210, as well as landing support tours with Lifehouse, Gavin DeGraw and Boyce Avenue helped Nick to support himself as an independent artist and in the last three years he has amassed over 500 shows in the US, Europe and the UK both as a support act and with his own tours.
Nick auditioned for 'The Voice of Germany' after building a successful independent career which had led to particular success in Germany/Austria and Switzerland over the last few years. After touring with bands such as Lifehouse, Boyce Avenue and Tyler Ward in Europe and supporting the likes of Train and Gavin DeGraw in the US, Nick managed to build a small but loyal fanbase in both continents and initially saw the Voice as a potential way to introduce his music to a bigger audience, choosing Germany because his fans in Europe were the first to really embrace and support his music. Nick learnt to speak German one month before the Blind Audition and continued to learn German throughout the show.
